December 24, 1927 - November 9, 2016
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the loss of our beautiful Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend Grace Williams. Grace passed away after a courageous battle with dementia at the age of 88 years.
Grace is survived by her four children: Tim Williams (Linda Rombs) of Edmonton, AB, Brenda (Lindy) Langner of Edson, AB, Neil (Sharon) Williams of Kitscoty, AB and Lori Williams (Rick Dory) of St. Albert, AB; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers: Reg of Regina, SK, and Gerry of Cochrane, AB; sister-in-law Vivian Meggeson and brother-in-law John Nishnick both of Regina, SK; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Grace was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years Tom, parents: George and Mildred (Millie); sisters: June Boswell and Rose Nishnick.
Grace was an honourable and compassionate lady who loved nothing more than spending time in the company of family and friends. She was a respected and dedicated mother who displayed a special love for her grandchildren and a passion for gardening. She took immense pleasure in providing all of the comforts of home for her family. The family would like to thank the dedicated, compassionate and professional staff of Citadel Care Centre and Wedman House for their care of Mom. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Ottewell United Church, 6611-93A Avenue, Edmonton, AB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or the Alzheimer's/Dementia Society of Canada.
Our loss is heaven's gain of an Angel.
