The raindrops fell ever so softly from the sky
on the day after you had died
A symbol of all our falling tears
remembrance of precious memories shared throughout the years
None of us ever ready to see you go
hearts heavy with pain as we all unfortunately know
The loss so heavy no words can really explain
It was your time for god to reclaim

Our minds wondering aimlessly, moods so desperately blue
How would we get passed the heartache and missing you
A mother to many and such a dear friend
Always there with a helping hand or kind word to lend

And then the strangest thing happened before my eyes
the clouds began to dissipate to my surprise
Then the sun started to glow ever so brightly, as the clouds gave way
and a beautiful rainbow appeared on display
It felt as if you were smiling down with all your love
for the ones you left from above

The love and memories of you will always remain
but our lives will unfortunately never be the same

Written by DS with all our love and sympathy
you will be truly missed
