Dearest Barb, Gerry and Kathy,
I just heard your message that you must have left on my phone about Aunt Millie. I have been away since Nov. 24th. I am saddened by your great loss. All those "aunties" fought tough battles in the end, but will always be treasured for not only the joy and love they brought to each other, but to their children and grandchildren. They gave us strengths as youngsters and even as women, when we thought the road was unbearable. Even though they were struggling along with us, the "sisters" found their way to come together as a family. They also added beauty to our lives, watching as we moved forward in our careers and starting our families, that we will always treasure. They all saw the best in us and gave the best of themselves. I always admired the special friendships that Peggy, Millie and Mom always treasured. I know that that carried on in all their own daughters. They taught us the importance of siblings. And mom always knew what all her dear nieces were up to. I just wish us nieces had been able to carry on those ideals. But has modern lives have progressed, we all get caught up in our own lives. We lived vicariously through our mom's keeping up on their dear daughters, their pride and joy. Your mom, your dad and Barry were so blessed to have you, Barb, Gerry, and Kathy help them through their last journeys. But you left them all with the strength to carry on with peace and eternal love. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I look forward to hearing about a future get together, in honour of your mom, or just to get us cousins together to "cheer our dear moms and their "sisters daughters" and what they left to us. We should finally do this for them. In their honour. Your mom was an amazing woman, I will always remember with great love. With love and blessings, Jan

Barb, Gerry and Kathy, my heart goes out to you. You know how much we adored your Mom, and how we viewed her as our Mom when we lost our own. She definitely "walked the walk" when it came to living a life of purpose and joy. She was truly remarkable and I was honoured to call her my Aunt. She will be forever in our hearts; she was such a treat. The effort she made to support me and my family through our own trials was nothing short of miraculous - she made it all so much easier just by being here. Lucky us for having been graced by her presence for so many wonderful years!

So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing as well as my good old friend, Barry's passing 2 years ago. I have such fond memories of spending time with your family as I lived there to complete grade 12 at MRSS. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you deal with the loss of a wonderful mother.
