WALKER, Millie FRISCO - Millie Walker of Frisco was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who passed into eternal life through her relationship with Jesus Christ on Monday, March 13, 2023. She was 82. Memorial service will be held for her at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, at Mount Olivet Chapel, 2301 North Sylvania Avenue,

Corsicana, Texas, the third of nine siblings. Experiencing a difficult childhood, Mille was grateful to her pastor, his wife, and foster family for leading her into a relationship with Jesus Christ in her early teenage years. In 1958, she graduated from Corsicana High School as a member of the National Honor Society. She moved to Dallas in 1960 and continued her education in secretarial school and became highly regarded for her aptitude in data management, accounting, and business communication. In Dallas she became an active member of Tremont Baptist Church, a highly valued administrative assistant at Floyd West & Company, led her daughters' Camp Fire Girls group, and was the Dallas County Voter Registration Precinct Chairwoman. In 1978, Millie moved with her family to
Euless, Texas, where she became active in various churches over the years including Calvary Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Euless, and Trinity Baptist Church. Millie was the quintessential Proverbs 31 woman. She worked tirelessly to help her family both in and out of the home. Millie choose various jobs which would ensure that she was able to spend as much time with her family as possible. She held various positions over the years at Texas Wesleyan University, City of Fort Worth Health Department, Texas Health Resources, Little Tyke Day Care, and Braniff Airlines. Millie enjoyed volunteering at church, her children's schools, nursing homes, homeless shelters, and clothing drives. She tirelessly volunteered as a coach or team mom for her children's soccer, baseball, softball, basketball, football, and track teams. As a sharecropper's daughter, Millie took pride in gardening. In May of 2005 Millie and her husband Jim moved to Frisco, Texas, to be close to their children and grandchildren. In Frisco, Millie devoted herself to her grandchildren and continued her involvement in the church. She was active at several churches in Frisco over the years including Lebanon Baptist Church, Preston Trail Community Church, Frisco Bible Church, and Prestonwood Baptist North Campus in Prosper. Millie and Jim even helped build a church in Frisco. Millie continued to volunteer, she was active in women's Bible study groups, sang in the church choir, stayed active in aerobics classes, and rarely missed a sporting, theater, or school event involving her grandchildren Ella and Reece. Millie is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Bertha, Buddy, Joann, Marilee, Carol Sue, Eddie and Daniel. Millie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jim; her children, Kim Lequire and her husband, Stan; Brenda Walker, Jimmy Walker and his wife, Christine, Laura "DaNelle" Walker; her stepchildren, Chris Walker and his wife, Kathy, Vicki Walker; her grandchildren, Brent Stine, Tiffany Walters, Ella Walker, and Reece Walker; her brother, Doug Fog; and her nephew, David Parnell.
