Milton Waldrop Obituary
Captain Milton Royce (Wally) Waldrop, 87, died peacefully on Saturday, December 8, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Born May 24th, 1931, in DeKalb, Texas, he was the son of the late Nixon and Louise (Clark) Waldrop.
Shortly after graduating High School, Milton served in the U.S. Navy for four years and went on to become a Tug Captain for Great Lakes Towing. In 1979 Milton furthered his career by becoming a Ships Pilot for the Great Lakes Pilot Association retiring in 2001.
Milton is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Patsy Waldrop; brother, Gary Waldrop; along with his 8 children, Michael (Lisa) Waldrop, Sandra (Jerry) Spencer, Julie (Michael) Shine, Michael (Sally) Lock, Patti Jo (Steve) Baldwin, Don (Bubba) Radebaugh, the late Janet Radebaugh, Linda (Russ) Lohsen; 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 12 Noon in the Urbanski's Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI, where the funeral service will take place at 12 Noon. Burial will follow in Ravine Cemetery, Sylvania, OH, with military honors conducted by Lambertville VFW Post 9656.

Wally was my snowbird neighbor for over ten years in Dunedin. We had many wonderful conversations about his career on the Great Lakes. Patsy and Wally were wonderful neighbors.
