Miriam Corine Bouton, 94, of Sierra Vista, Arizona, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025. She was born on May 14, 1930, in Ridgefield, Connecticut. Miriam was a beacon of kindness and generosity throughout her entire life, touching those around her deeply with her compassionate heart and loving nature.

Miriam graduated from Ridgefield High School. She then attended Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport, Connecticut to pursue higher education. She devoted her working life to the healthcare industry as a Phlebotomist, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Miriam was also part of the pioneering volunteer emergency medical service team in Monroe, and served the community of Trumbull as a CNA for over two decades.

Apart from her career contributions, Miriam was deeply rooted within her community through her work with St. Andrews Church. Cooking, baking, gardening, reading, and spending precious time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her peace and joy at home. All who entered her house could feel the warm, welcoming environment that reflected her loving spirit, with doors always open to those in need.

Miriam was predeceased by her parents, John and Miriam Mullen; her brother, Jackie Mullen; her husband, James "Turk" Bouton; and her son, James Bouton. She is survived by her brother, James Mullen and his wife, Lynn; her daughters, Susan and Michele; five grandchildren, Connor, Carinna, Tessa, Caitlin, and Hayley; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a private memorial service held for Miriam at Southern Arizona Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest alongside her late husband. In memory of Miriam, the family requests that donations please be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
