Miriam Caskin Lowe

I was once a student of mrs lowes class. I learned everyhting I know about geography from her. I was also one of her favorite students. Every day after school, she would tell me how she enjoied teaching, and I would always reply about how much I enjoyed learning and listning to her teach. we all new that she had cancer , But I was the only one who really thought of it as a serious thing. Mrs lowe and I loved to talk when walking in from activity. She and I would tell each other how we were doing, and laugh together about certain goof ups in life. I cherished those moments. and now that I know that she is happy. I'm glad that we had those conversations I can remember the good times we had and not the times that she would put me out in the hallway for talking in class.I and all the other studnets miss her greatly. I'm just sad that when i come back to visit all my teachers that she won't be there.( mrs lowe I miss you greatly. I'm just glad your happy. )

Miriam was a fine person and a dedicated teacher. She touched the hearts and minds of each and every student she worked with. She will be sorely missed.

To the family of Miriam Lowe, My heart goes out to you and my thoughts are with you during this time. Miriam taught both of my sons in the the 6th grade at Sonny Carter Elementary. My older son, Cole, was very fond of "Mrs. Lowe" and I do believe she cared greatly for him. She was a great teacher. As a teacher myself, I know that influencing only one student during your career is considered a great accomplishment. I can tell you she definitely did that and I am sure many more than just my son. She was a great lady and I am proud to have known her as one of her students' parents as well as one of her peers.
