MCDONALD Miriam Patricia McDonald, at 84 years old, went to join our Heavenly Father on May 19, 2011. She went peacefully and without pain surrounded by loved ones.She was born March 28, 1927 in Washington, D.C. to Charles and Grace Sharp. Although she lost her father (Charles) at an early age, her mother (Grace) raised her and her sister Freida the best she could thru the times of the depression. She graduated college with a degree in chemistry. Later she met a man in uniform, Captain Paul G. McDonald. They were married for 27 years until his untimely death in 1981. In that time together they had three sons, Greg, Karl and Michael. She was an active volunteer in their activities, P.T.A, scouts, school and little league. She worked as a chemist for N.A.S. Corpus Christi until she retired to take care of her ailing mother. At home she would like to work on her garden or at her art crafts and sewing projects. She is survived by her sons, Greg McDonald of Houston, Karl McDonald and Michael McDonald both of Corpus Christi; four grandchildren, Ian McDonald, Lauren McDonald, Kaelin McDonald and Erin McDonald; one great grandson, Conner McDonald; one sister, Frieda Sheridan of Silver Springs, Maryland, many nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held at 5:30 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Monday, May 22, 2011 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at the church.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2011 at St. Pius X Catholic Church.Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, in Arlington, Virginia at a later date.To view Tribute, please visit www.seasidefuneral.com
