To the family, many, many friends, colleagues and fans of this wonderful DJ, broadcaster, record executive, and radio personality Calvin LeBrun better known as Mister Cee fine comfort with you during this difficult time in your lives. Mister Cee was an influential hip-hop DJ who spun for Big Daddy Kane and helped discover Notorious B.I.G. We hope many of the encouraging words and thoughts on this site comforts you during this difficult time also. We enjoyed his DJing many great songs and the many people to whom he brought much joy too. May you find comfort in your wealth of fond memories together with Mister Cee. May Almighty God in the Heavens comfort your hearts with peace and loving kindness as you cope with this precious loss in your lives. May his legacy keep his memory alive forever.

Rest Easy...

My children went to Head Start at 5 Quincy. I would walk down Gates Ave and see him in the yard from time to time. He would always speak. My nephew hired him to do what he did best. He closed out the reception. I went up to him to request a song he looked at me and said I got you give me a minute. He gave me an hour I didn´t sit down the rest of the night. Mister Cee although shy and quiet he stayed true to Brooklyn never moving away. You could catch him at the corner store with flip flops. My condolences and prayers to the family. May God Bless you with the strength needed at this time.

My condolences.

He was spinning tunes for a block party on Gates Avenue between Franklin Avenue and Bedford Avenue in Bed Stuy Brooklyn. All us kids were out there playing and enjoying ourselves. He also DJ for Lafayette Garden houses one year I recall. It was lit!!!

Calvin Lebrun was an extraordinary talent in so many areas. He helped some of the biggest names in hip-hop get their start. An incredible musical genius. His contributions to the music world are outstanding. Sincere condolences to the Lebrun family. So very sorry for your loss. May God be with you all.
