Mitchell Leland Bard Jr. (Mitch) born on March 11, 1983, in Flint Michigan, grew up in Mount Morris, and most recently resided in Port Huron. Mitchell peacefully passed away at a medical facility in Detroit on January 18, 2025.

Mitch faced significant health challenges throughout his life, beginning at birth. Along the way he developed a deep bond with many of the nurses and doctors who cared for him, forming lasting friendships that brought him comfort. In the final month of his life, he found peace through his conversion to Islam.

Mitch was an over-the-road truck driver for nearly 20 years, and he loved exploring new places. He often shared pictures of the sights he encountered during his travels. His favorite hobbies included online gaming, fishing, and watching the Detroit Lions.

A special thank you goes to his treasured friend, Jolene Willis, whose unwavering support and care were a source of comfort for Mitch for many years.

Survived are his children; Shiree Bard and Gavin Willis. Mother; Patricia Harrington and stepfather Terry Harrington Siblings; Amanda (Kevin) Dehmel, Shannon (William) Fredell, Darcey Bard, Sarah (Gabe) Pridemore, and Adam (Aubrey) Harrington. Grandmother Barbara Bard many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mitchell was proceeded in death by his father Mitchell Bard Sr Grandfathers Gordon Bard and Odis Davidson, Grandmother Florence (Toombs) Davidson, Uncle Wally (Walter Davidson)

Honoring Mitchell's wishes, services will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the American Moslem Society Mosque (9945 Vernor Hwy, Dearborn, MI 48120). A viewing will take place from noon to 1:00 PM, followed by burial at Woodmere Cemetery.
