Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 5, 2024.
Miyako Kimura Propst, born in Chitose, Hokkaido, Japan, passed away peacefully in Spring Hill, Florida. She previously resided in Baltimore, Maryland, and Raleigh, North Carolina.

A devoted wife and mother, Miyako was deeply cherished by her family. She had a profound love for animals and children, a green thumb that nurtured her gardens, and was a talented seamstress and exceptional cook. Known for her perseverance, tenacity, and clever sense of humor, her legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Jackson Propst, Jr.; daughters Sue Ann (Neal) Schreiner, Mary Ann (Charles) Padgett, and Christina (Jonathan Dew) Propst; grandsons Michael Schreiner and Christopher (Denna) Schreiner; and six beloved great-grandchildren, Isabella, Avelyn, Emma, Brayden, Nolan, and Madelyn Schreiner.

Miyako was preceded in death by her son Ronald Propst; her father Soubei Kimura; her mother Tsuru Kimura; her brother Haruo Kimura; and her sisters Ayako, Fumiko, and Ritsuko.

Her spirit will continue to inspire and live on in all who knew and loved her.

A memorial will be held in Maryland, with additional details to be provided at a later time.

John 16:22
