I cannot believe it has been a year since the passing of Dr. Myint. She was a dear friend as well as a supportive colleague. She had endless energy and was always willing to do a case no matter how challenging or sick the patient. She was especially loved by the pediatric surgeons who hated when she went on vacation and they were left with the rest of us to deal with.
Her babies were like her children and each of them got that special attention.
I miss her very much and Harlem Hospital has not been the same since she left us.

Dear Family of Dr. Myint,
I want you to know that we remember her with reverence and respect. One surgeon, Dr. Sabbagh, routinely compares other anesthesiologists, both new to Harlem and old colleagues, to Dr. Myint and how they do or don't measure up to her tireless work ethic, patience, and stamina and unreproachable service and dedication to her patients, the surgeons, her fellow anesthesiologists and CRNAs, and Harlem Hospital. We love her. Bless you. I want to share a funny side of her: she was terrified of my African Gray parrot! I didn't mean to scare her, I thought she would like to meet my bird, but she screamed and ran to the opposite side of the room, then explained that she was afraid of my bird. One time she took care of a tiny premature baby, and later she told me it was smaller than my "chicken"!
