I have been deeply saddened when I heard the news. It seems like yesterday when Monica, Jen and I were going to school down at Purdue together. My heartfelt sympathies go out to Monica’s family and friends.

Monica was like a another daughter to me. She was kind, thoughtful, intelligent, witty, beautiful, and strong. Just a very special person that I was blessed to have in my life.

I had grown to be good friends with Monica and Chuck over the last several years. She will be deeply missed.

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. Our deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.

Monica was/is a Friend & a stronger person than many I've known. Our group & the world itself is never going to be the same. Lynn & Chuck - thank you for taking care of her & being her support, family, AND friends in this world. I'll pray for all of you.

Monica was such a big part of our lives. I will always remember all the fun and joy she brought to all our times together. She will be greatly missed. I know there is little I can do to help in this difficult time, but if you ever need anything please let me know.

Monica's a true beauty who lived her life with grace and courage. Her determination to succeed in life was inspiring. It is comforting to know that she had Lynn & Chuck with her every step of the way. I'll always remember Monica's smile and one-of-a-kind personality that added something special to any of our friend's gatherings.

To the Gabriel Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I was one of the nurses who took care of her on 3SW and in infusion therapy at University of Chicago. She was a beautiful girl and my prayers are with all of you.
