I just found out about Dr. Fernandez's passing. She was a wonderful, caring person. She has taken wonderful care of our dogs, Snowy and Munchkin. Snowy was one of Dr Fernandez's first patients at Lakeside Animal Hospital. My dogs, my husband and myself will truly miss her. Rest In Peace, Dr. Fernandez.

To Monica's family and friends, I sincerely mourn your loss, and mine. So very saddened to learn of Monica's passing when just recently visited Lakeside to pick up my Frosty's meds - she has taken such great care of his special needs since a pup - for over eight years. A more caring, gentle and loving person is not to be found, and I am grateful to have known her for all her wonderful personal qualities as well as her outstanding medical attributes. There is a special place in our hearts for persons such as Monica, who are the healers, who have touched so many people with their support and strength, who have committed themselves to caring for others who needed them - that is why she will never really be far away - her spirit lives on in all the familiar ways we remember her and all that she did for those whose lives she touched. Rest in peace, dear doctor. Miss you now and always.
