MONIQUE DIANNE VENEE THADDIES TILLMAN "Nikki" Age 17, departed this life Saturday, May 15, 2004. Monique was born on September 2, 1986. She confessed Hope in Christ at an early age. She was a member of Blessed Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Hammond, IN. She attended West Side High School. Monique was very well loved. To some she was known as Nikki, Pu Pu and Old Tomato. Whatever name we gave her, it was just a joy to have her in our lives. She was preceded in death her brother, Jermaine Thaddies, stepbrother, Malcolm Mitchell, grandfather, Otis D. Thaddies Sr., and great-grand-mother, Oma Lee Powell. Monique leaves to cherish her memory parents, Malcolm and Letresia McKenzie of Gary, IN; brother, Carl (Michelle) Thaddies; nephew, Mekhi Washington, and niece, Michelle Purdimon; maternal grandmother, Dianne Thaddies; great-grandparents, Oscar and Annie Tisby Sr., all of Gary, IN; 3 stepsisters, Tameka McKenzie of Michigan City, IN, Clemmi Mitchell, Christina Mitchell; 1 stepbrother, Curtis Mitchell, all of Gary, IN; 3 uncles, Otis (Susan) Thaddies Jr. of Evansville, IN, Brian K. Tisby and Rufus McClendon, both of Gary, IN; 1 aunt, Azalia McClendon of Evansville, IN; godmother, Gloria (Johnny) Johnson of Gary, IN; and special friend, Dominic Lemon of Gary, IN. Monique had many special cousins and a host of other aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. Visitation Thursday, May 20, 2004, from 12 to 8:00 p.m. Family hour 6 to 7:00 p.m. at the Guy & Allen Chapel, 2959 West 11th Avenue.
