Dear Dr. K, I just want to thank you for helping me with my Plu issues for over 10 years and I enjoyed the help and education you have given me over the years. Even after I was told to find another Plu specialist In 2020 I couldn't bare to find another specialist and on this day I finally understand why I kept saying I think something happened. I myself found myself not having my asthma controlled since our last visit. I'm currently in St Barnabas Hospital from a severe attack and almost didn't make it. I was looking for my medical records and looked you up to find out my worst nightmare. I am sorry Dr. K, I am so hurt to find this out may you be at peace. I will keep your family in my prayers

It was with great shock and utter dismay that I only learned this month, January 202-, of the death of my great Mentor, Idol and friend, Dr. Monroe S Karetzky. I so admired and emulated “Doc” in every way that I could....as a Scientist, friend, loving husband and family man. The greatest times of my life were spent under his caring eye; he nurtured me to become all that I am today....and I am so grateful to Doc and Patti for their friendship and encouragement.
I shall hold Doc, his greatness, his compassion and his love of science indelibly etched on my soul with gratitude and great humility. If I am but a pale reflection of this great man, I will have achieved more than most of humankind. I honor and respect Doc and Patti. I’m just so terribly sorry that I only learned of his passing a few days ago. I wish I could have comforted his family at the time of there terrible ordeal.
Thank you, Doc, for all you were and for the bright, shining man you were on your all-too-short sojourn among us. Joyce, myself, my four living children and 9 grandchildren join our hearts to you in sincerest condolences on your great loss.

It is unfortunate that I only this month, January 2020 that I learned of the death of Dr Monroe Karetzky, my mentor, my idol and my friend. Through many long years working with “Doc”, I had the best years of my life. Literally, legions of people in NYC and New Jersey had their lives enriched, and in many cases, SAVED by Doc. I’ve never had a more wonderful boss, medical director and inspiration than Doc. He was more than all that....for me, he and Patti were great and wonderful friends.
I’m so sorry I never got to say goodbye to this wonderful man, teacher, mentor and friend. I was literally floored when I heard of his passing. He was a great man in so very many ways. I shall always hold his memory indelibly engraved on my very soul. I will always hold him, Patti and the children as close as I hold my family....loved, cherished and always, always, with deep respect and love. I send my sincere and, unfortunately, very late condolences to you all. Many blessings!

Monroe Karetzky was my cousin. Even as a teenager, he was always friendly, smart, and generous— much like his father, Al Karetzky, M.D. He well deserved his wonderful, generous, wife, Patricia, a famous scholar in her own right.
Having an impressive cousin like him occasionally had its downside when I was a boy. It was sometimes suggested to me after I had “gotten into trouble” that I should try to be more like Monroe.
My sympathies go out to his family members for their loss. But they were fortunate to have him in their lives for so many years.

Please except my deepest sympathies as the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of God, family and friends.

Dear Patty and family: so sorry to hear about the passing of my good friend and colleague Monroe. I recall with fondness the evenings that
Ethel and I spent with you and Monroe and more recently with Mary Alice.
The Times obituary captured so well his bravery during these past difficult months as well as his intelligence and independence of thought. May his life serve as a blessing for you and the adult children.
