Montague Upshaw

Tremendous athlete, competitor and individual..a great role model for all those bay area individuals who knew Monte and perhaps had the privilege of competing against him. In 1953 I represented Mt.Diablo High School and ran the High Hurdles against Monte in the Northern California State sectional which he won. His long jump record was unbelievable. I have friends who were Monte's Fraternity brothers. I am proud to say I met Monte and competed against him...He will be missed by so many.....sincerely, Rich.
