Apache Junction - Montfort Charles "Monty" Edinger, 66, passed away on July 29, 2025, in Mesa, Arizona. Born on July 27, 1959, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Monty brought a distinctive spirit and vibrant energy to all who knew him.

Monty dedicated his professional life to ensuring the safety of others, working as a safety manager in the recycling industry at Veolia Environment SA. His commitment to his work reflected his deep sense of responsibility and care for those around him.

He was known for his unique and quirky personality with a love and passion for animals. Traits that endeared him to family and friends alike. Monty had a passion for cooking and took great joy in preparing meals with creativity and flair. He also loved building things by hand and found fulfillment in remodeling projects, always eager to transform spaces with his own craftsmanship.

Monty is survived by his beloved wife, Deanne R. (Riemensnider) Edinger; his step-son, Ryan G Riemensnider; his son, James R. Edinger; and his siblings: Richard (Germaine) Edinger, Jayme (Jerry) Laabs, Craig (Beth) Edinger, and Blake Edinger (Tina Kurth). He was the cherished son of James and Helen (Healy) Edinger. Several in-laws: Doris Miller, Christine (Chuck) Lutkenhaus, Lorilynn (Bill) White, Robert Riemensnider and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents-Clarence and Marjorie Edinger, Benjamin and Marjorie Healy-and by his son, Benjamin C. Edinger.

A private family gathering will be held to honor Monty's life.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.
