Monty Orlondo Buck, 57, of Blackfoot, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at his home.
Monty was born on April 11, 1957 in Spokane, Washington to Darold LeRoy Buck and Bevelina May Loyd Buck.
He grew up in the Blackfoot area and graduated from Snake River High School. On February 10, 1979 he married Sherry Gardner in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Monty drove truck for Sanchez & Eagle Trucking and was currently driving for Great Rift Trucking.
Monty loved the outdoors and the many activities they provided. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and riding 4-wheelers with his family. His family and spending as much time as possible with them were the most important things in his life. He also loved sports and watching his children play in them. Monty was also a girls' softball coach.
Monty is survived by his wife of over 36 years, Sherry Buck, of Riverside; his children, Jamie (Rob) Meikle, of Alpine, Wyo.; Justin (Joann) Grimmett, of Firth; Jake (Jocelyn) Clayton, of Tremonton, Utah; Branten Buck, of Blackfoot; Clinten (Sarah) Buck, of Firth; Westen Buck, of Riverside; his sisters, Alenda (Dave) Stelzer, of Dubois and Sherrie (Ray) Brown, Boise; his in-laws, Valate Gardner and Boyd and Pat Gardner; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Darold and Bevelina Buck; sister, Bonnie Shook; and his baby sister, Karen.
According to Monty's wishes a celebration of his life will be held on Friday April 10, 2015  from 5-7 p.m. at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. in Blackfoot. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.hawkerfuneralhome.com.

Monty was a wonderful man.... Funny... Caring... Just a delight to be around... I had the honor of meeting him through his granbabies that I watched for period and my husband worked with both him and sherrie ...
