Monty OUM

I've never had the chance to meet the Monty. But just from his passion through his work and everyones love for him, I feel like I knew him. And I say this with great pride, he is a man I would love to follow behind and walk beside.

Godspeed Monty, and thank you for sharing a part of you life with us.

Monty, I can't believe it's been three years since your passing. Despite never getting the chance to meet you, you still had a profound impact on me. I will always have my ups & downs, but your mantra, "Keep Moving Forward," has kept me going. Your dedication, work ethic, and goofy nature will always be missed.

While it has been my dream to have meet you it saddens me to know that you have died and to also know you died on the day before my own date of birth saddens me more but thank for giving us such beautiful things Monty the FNDM owes you so much

its taken me years to find this place. Monty, your strength, and determination have gotten me through a lot. You can see what I'm talking about from your animation studio in the sky so I won't say more. Thank you.

Monty, it's almost been one year. I met you once, for only a short time, but you inspired and touched the hearts of thousands of people. You made this world a better place. You live on in those who loved your work, your family, and your friends. We all miss you, but we remember you. Rest in peace, Monty.

Farewell to one of the greatest animators of all time... I'm pretty sure you helped me out when I fell into a coma and for that I thank you I wish we had actually met back when you were among us so that I could've said how amazing your work is in person... sleep well bro

I've only had one brief conversation with Monty at RTX, and that's more than most I imagine, but he told me about how he loves seeing people cosplay his work. He spoke that it was like seeing his children (his creations I guess) grow up in a very real way and how surreal it felt that he could give people something to love so much that they wanted to be it if only for one night and let it inspire them to their own work. That was just incredible to me.

I only knew Monty through his work, and immediately recognized his good talent and creativity. He was a young person so full of technics and abilities that helped bringing animation to life. To his wife Sheena and his friends, I'm expressing my sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. It's heartbreaking to learn he lost his life in this unexpected situation at such young age. My thoughts at this moment are with you, and May your broken hearts be recovered and comforted by the peace and strength our Heavenly Father grant to those who deals with this difficult moments.

He was a talented person who left before his time. He made my friends and I be interested in animated videos. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of everyone who watches Red Vs Blue and RWBY.

I only knew of him for a very short time before his passing, but within those 2/3 weeks, he seemed like an amazing person. I hold deep respects for people who dont go down without a fight. Ill hold a special place for him in the back of my mind. He will be missed

I've been following Monty's content since I was in high school back in 2008. His creativity and dedication to perfecting his creations inspired me to create my own original graphic novel which I have been working on since 2013. Seeing how his dream of RWBY became a reality inspired me to perfect my skills as an artist. Monty was a man that never stopped working. His dedication and love of efficiency was something of admiration. I presented RWBY to the anime club at my college two years ago and everyone talks about it. Hearing about Monty's sudden death hit me so hard that it shook me to the core. Having idolized him for so long, I couldn't comprehend the thought of him being gone with his brainchild (RWBY) just getting off the ground with countless concepts and ideas in store. It's saddening knowing that not all of those ideas might not ever see the light of day. Monty Oum left this world too soon and I will miss him greatly. My condolences go out to his RoosterTeeth family and his immediate family.

I loved the work you did. You were a huge inspiration, and I loved to watch RWBY when i was having a bad day. It always made me laugh.

I'll miss you Monty, i wish there was more i could say.

Monty was one of my favourite RT staff members, he wasn't one to always favour the limelight only his work which has left an outstanding legacy.
Although I never met or knew Monty personally may he rest in peace, Rooster Teeth and the world have lost a tremendous talent.
