Morene Edgemon Obituary
Holdenville, OK - Fremont, CA
Morene Edgemon, aged 87, passed away on April 4, 2024, in Cameron Park, CA. She was born on September 2, 1936, in Holdenville, OK. Morene was a beloved child of God and a devout Christian. Her kindness and goodness shone brightly, drawing people to her.
Morene dedicated 69 years of her life to her loving husband, Albert Edgemon. She was a cherished mother to Mark (Diane) Edgemon and Katrina (Carl) Grippa. Morene was a doting grandmother to Zachary (Amanda) Edgemon, Rigo (Camille) Lopez, Nicholas Edgemon, Noah (Robyn) Grippa, Joy (Nate) Burger, Lukas (Stephanie) Grippa, and 11 adoring great-grandchildren.
In her career, Morene worked as an aide for special needs children in the Fremont Unified School District. She then transitioned to working at American Licorice, where she became the heart of the HR department, ensuring everyone in need received her care.
Morene found solace and community at the Church of Christ in Newark, CA, where she worshipped faithfully. Her favorite pastimes included spending time with her family, engaging in Bible study, baking, sewing, crafting, and shopping.
A service to honor Morene's life will be held at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels in Fremont, CA. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Morene was predeceased by her parents Grady and Lora Smith, along with her siblings Doyle, Gene, Grady, Faye, Lynda, and Wanda. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished forever.

Morene was a true Christian and a very good friend to me. I always told her she seemed so young, not at all old lol, she had a young heart and was one of the most beautiful people in the world. Love you Morene.

I will miss our phone conversation we talked about everything and we talked for. 4 hours at a time. She always hit the mute button. Lol. And she would hang up on me and call me back and say why did you hang up on me.i didn't do it. She blamed the dog one time. I will miss our coffee together even we were in a different states.
