Mortimer Moffatt Obituary

MOFFATT, Mortimer Henry Peacefully after a brief illness at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, ON., on Monday, August 27, 2007 with his beloved wife of 57 years, Joan, by his side. Survived by two sons, Jay and Scott. Dearly loved Grandpa of Jay's children - Eden, Karina & Iain, and Scott's children - Kendra, Nicholas & Michael. Special "Dad" to Deborah Cumberland, Karen Dack and Annette Moffatt. After retiring as Director of Small Craft Harbours - Eastern Canada, Mort and Joan spent 17 wonderful years as Snowbirds. Mort treasured his time cruising the world with Joan, and with his much adored grandchildren. As well, Mort as an avid golfer and enjoyed his favourite sport regularly. He is warmly remembered by many family and friends in Florida, Ottawa, and Burlington. Cremation and a private family service have taken place.

Aunt Joan and Family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Uncle Mort's passing. Like my brothers, I have very fond memories of visiting you in Manotick so many years ago. Our deepest condolences.

Sadden by Uncle Mort passing. I have very fond memories of both of you at the young age of 6 to 8 years of age, when we visited you at your beautiful home on Manotick Island. Love your nephew Derick.
