Christy Morton E. Christy Jr., age 71, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Mt Carmel West. He was the Owner of Mort's Place. Retired after 32 years with Pepsi Cola. He is the former Police Chief of Lockbourne, where he served for 15 years. Member Moose Lodge #11, America Legion #532 and the Southeast Conservation Club. He loved to ride his Harley and his old cars. Preceded in death by parents Morton and Dessie Christy, brother Jerry Dickson. Survived by wife, Jewell; children, Steve (Claira) Christy, Tammy (Kevin) Trout, Morton (Jennifer) Christy III and Travis Christy; stepchildren, Jerri (Dan) Turner, Paul (Jean) Price, Billy (Shonda) Price, Teresa (Will) Smith, Bobby (Samantha) Bills and Tammy Combs; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; other family and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Wednesday, 5-8 p.m. where service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday. Interment Fernwood Cemetery.

Mort Jewel you were always a great thing for me a family a relationship that was strong and unconditional and i always looked up to you and that and wanted same things .You are some of the kindest best people i've ever known or meet in my life.And remember it's not over it's until we meet again because you will luv u and will pray and am here if you need me ever Jewel nothing can be said to fix heal what u feel or are going through but i know you had that it factor and this is not the end for you two luv you both always...

Sorry for your loss. You have my condolences. I am a first cousin of Morton jr. Unfortuantly I never got to know Morton personally. My parents were Joe and Esta Christy. l am presently out of town and will not be able to attend the services.
