Miami Moshe , Fla. - Fessel In Loving Memory of Moshe Fessel, Esq. (1975 - 2024)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Moshe Fessel, Esq., a respected legal recruiter, cherished friend, devoted father, and beloved grandfather. On April 2nd 2024, at the young age of 49, Moshe's sudden departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Born in
Brooklyn, NY, Moshe embarked on a journey that would see him touching the lives of many with his intelligence, exceptional wit, compassion, and unwavering spirit.
After earning his law degree from Columbia Law School in 2001, Moshe distinguished himself as an associate in the General Practice group at Sullivan & Cromwell for eight years. His expertise and commitment to excellence laid the foundation for his subsequent role as a legal recruiter, where he became a respected source for both lawyers and law firms across the nation. Moshe's direct demeanor, combined with his significant Big Law experience and extraordinary ability to listen, made him a trusted advisor and friend to many in the legal community.
Beyond his professional achievements, Moshe was deeply passionate about guiding others through significant life transitions, including his personal journey of leaving the Orthodox Jewish community. His courage and support helped hundreds navigate their paths with dignity and respect.
Moshe's life was enriched by his authentic candid relationships with family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Chaim and Esther, his sisters Tzivi and Shanna, his brother Shmuel, his four children, Avigayil, Yael, Nechemia, Ezra, and two adored granddaughters, whose stories and successes filled him with immense pride and joy. His ability to engage in meaningful conversation, his respect for all individuals -- regardless of their background and affiliations -- and his deep, genuine interest in others' lives made him an invaluable member of his community.
A man of many interests, Moshe was well known for his engaging discussions on diverse topics, from the intricacies of Talmudic law and Biblical texts to his affinity for delving into world politics, religious beliefs, and values/morality. Moshe's life, though tragically cut short by a car accident, was marked by an unrelenting commitment to making a difference in the lives of others through dialogue, understanding, and kindness. A private funeral was held for family and close friends. He was buried in Gates of Zion Cemetery in
Airmont, NY.
As we mourn the loss of Moshe, we also celebrate his life and the countless ways he enriched ours. His memory will forever be a blessing to all who knew him and his impact on those around him will continue to inspire and flourish. Please visit
