Bishop Desimone was the most reverential catholic priest I have ever met. To me, he was how Jesus would have been if I had met him in this world. It was because of Bishop Desimone, when he was pastor of SS Cosmas and Damian in Conshohocken, that I was moved to become a convert in 1972-73. I received my personal, one on one instruction from him, which was very special to me, and then, the ceremonial, conditional baptism and confirmation from him, as I had already received these sacraments as an Episcopalian at St. John's Church, Norristown, PA. My heart was broken when he was taken from SS Cosmas and Damian, but I was fortunate to have encountered him many times later when he visited SS Cosmas and Damian for special events and confirmations. He truly was a man of God, and he will never be forgotten. He must be overjoyed to now have met his God and Savior. May he enjoy eternal rest in heaven.

His Excellency, Louis Anthony DeSimone was truly a gentleman of the Church. He was always pleasant, affable and deeply spiritual, with a quick with and a fantastic memory. May he rest in peace with the Christ Jesus, the chief shepherd of the flock.
