Jones and Son Funeral Home, Hattiesburg
5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2021, at Burnt Bridge Baptist Church for Mr. Wilmer Jesse Stuart, age 88, of Hattiesburg who passed from this life June 7, 2021 at Forrest General Hospital. Bro. Jerry Rawls will officiate with burial to follow in the Grantham Cemetery.
Mr. Stuart was a member of Burnt Bridge Baptist Church. He was owner for 31 years of the Stuart Pest Control. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Edna Stuart; son, John Phillip Stuart; 6 brothers, Shorty, Bill, Hugh, L.D., Henry and Joe Stuart; sister, Lorrita Owen; and granddaughter, Kellye Stuart.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Stuart of Hattiesburg; son, Matthew (Angela) Stuart of Purvis; daughters, Annette Baca of Hattiesburg, Larie (Kelvin) Elder of Hattiesburg, Melinda (Charlie Repetti) Stuart of San Rafael, CA; brothers, Charles (Dona) Stuart of Richton and Arthur (Susan) Stuart of Ridgeland, S.C.; sisters, Elizabeth Brown of Blackshear, GA, Martha Shows of Purvis and Joyce (Garvis) Yawn of Purvis; 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Jones and Son Funeral Home of Hattiesburg.
