Muriel Heide Obituary
Muriel Brockington Heide, 80, of Palmyra, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
She was born on February 19, 1930, in Charleston, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Robert Brockington and Isabelle Galloway Brockington.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Jack P. Heide.
Muriel is survived by Rob and Andrea Heide of Palmyra, Virginia, and Scott and Judy Heide of Greensboro, North Carolina; along with three grandchildren, Laura, Matthew and Olivia.
A graveside service at Arlington National Cemetery will be announced at a later date.
Hill and Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Aunt Muriel was one of the kindest and most caring people I have ever known. Having lived with her and Uncle Jack for over a year of my life, I cherish my memories with them both. I have and will miss them both tremendously.Rob and family - my love and thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.

So thankful to have had my life touched by Muriel's love. She was a Southern Lady in all aspects of her life. There are so many happy memories of times spent at the Heide House. Her warm and welcoming manner was ever present. She made a difference in the lives of many. I know that she did in mine.
