Muriel L. (Davis) Ludwig

Muriel L. (Davis) Ludwig, 101, wife of the late Joseph A. Ludwig, died Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Peter Becker Community, Harleysville, PA. She was a longtime resident of Trappe, PA.

Muriel was born on November 16, 1923, in Nesquehoning, PA, to the late Jenkin and Anna M. (Corby) Davis.

Muriel retired in 1981, from AT&T, after 30 years as a quality control inspector, in Philadelphia and King of Prussia, PA.

Muriel was a former member of Augustus Lutheran Church, Trappe, and attended chapel services at Peter Becker Community. She was a student of the Bible, studying at Unity Institute, Unity Worldwide Ministries, and giving presentations to community groups. She also was a member of Freeland Chapter #323, Order Of The Eastern Star, Collegeville, PA, the Trappe Historical Society, and the Telephone Pioneers of PA.

Muriel is survived by her niece, Mertise (Davis), wife of John Wolfe, Kunkletown, PA; her great nieces, Gayle (Davis), wife of Dennis Jones, Lynda (Davis), wife of Jack Lopes, and Melinda "Mindy" (Wolfe), wife of Mark Bauman; her great great nieces and nephews, Rebecca (Jones), wife of Justin Miller, Anakristen (Jones), wife of Dominic Scurti, Dennis, Jr., husband of Olivia (Schuh) Jones, Joshua Gamble, and Caleb, husband of Cassandra (Sandvik) Gamble; and her great great great nieces and nephews, Jonah Miller, Emelia Scurti, Mirabelle Scurti, and Paislee Gamble. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Jenkin, husband of Beverly (Eckert) Davis, Milton, DE; and her brothers, Thomas and John Davis.

An Eastern Star service will begin at 10:30 AM, Thursday, in the Peter Becker Community Chapel, 800 Maple Ave., Harleysville, PA 19438; immediately followed by her funeral service with the Rev. Faith Williams, Peter Becker Community Chaplain, and the Rev. Thomas T. Kochenderfer, Jr., Associate and Visitation Pastor, Augustus Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Harley Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, Thursday, in the chapel. Arrangements are by Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., Trappe.
