Muriel Parsons Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 4 to Feb. 5, 2008.
PARSONS, Muriel nee Craig Peacefully now on Saturday, February 2, 2008 in her 96th year after several months of increasing sickness and pain. Remembered lovingly by her sister Viola Craig. Cherished mother to Doug Parsons (Lise Levesque) and John Parsons (Sandra Parsons). Will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Anne Parsons, Andrew Parsons (Brigitte Martin) and her wonderful great-grandson Samuel. Predeceased by her husband George Parsons, father Donald Craig, mother Agnes Craig (nee MacKenzie), her brothers Edgar Craig, Don Craig and by her sisters Ruby Ferriman and Florence Gilchrest. Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road on Wednesday from 1pm until time of service in the chapel at 2:30pm. The family wishes to thank Dr. Cohen and the staff at Central Park Lodge for their care and compassion over the last year but especially in the last months and weeks. In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Ottawa would be appreciated. With love and fond memories, you will be remembered each day in our minds and our lives. We continue to celebrate your love of sports, cards and love of life in general.

John and Sandra - I wanted to pass on our most sincere sympathy on the loss of John's mother. What a wonderful age she reached - and what a well of memories she must have left you both and Anne and Andrew to dip into, Gwenda and Peter

Dear Doug & Family:
We are sorry to hear about the loss of your Mother.
I recall Lise talking to me about your Mom when we were travelling to the Girl's Weekend at the Cottage last year.
Even with the pain of loss I am sure comes the relief for your Mom having no more pain. It would seem that she was embraced by longevity - a great grandson in her life no less; now wonderful!
Our sincere condolences to you and Lise and the rest of your family.
