This memory book has given written confirmation to the life of Muriel Snider as a terrific daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, and it bears witness to the many lives she touched.

Paul, the kids, and I were so thrilled to be able to see Grandma, suprising her with a visit after Paul's return from war, and as always she beamed affection and joy; the way she did with all her family.

Now that she is gone, we hope the things her life taught us are things we are all able to implement in our own lives.

Grandma always said 'Bye for now', but at the end of the last conversation I had with her she said 'Goodbye'. She sensed she was soon going, confident her choice of words would match her life's path.
I liked that, and understood her final message to me.
She was a good teacher.
Goodbye to you too, Grandma.
Love, Karen

Nan and Grampa, sorry it has taken me so long to get this off to you. We were so sorry to hear the news about Gramma. She was a wonderful lady, so sweet and kind and we will all miss her dearly. I wish we could have visited more but I hope you know all our family out your way is never far from our thoughts and always in our hearts

The Blue Butterfly

When a little butterfly soars in the sky, it's blue against blue that we see.

Although it may vanish, our hearts know it's there...that little blue butterfly peaceful and free.

Within our hearts, the ones we love are never really gone... they live on in beautiful memories.

I've typed and deleted many times, trying to come up with something perfect. I cannot. So, though the perfect words won't come, please know I am sending our sincerest sympathy for your loss. I know Gramma Snider only through stories and pictures but the real testament and legacy to her life are surely those who make me feel I do know her...her daughter Earlene and her extended family. May her love and your memories continue to bring you joy.

I am just finding out that you have lost Nan. I am so so sorry for your loss. I know how close you were and how much she meant to the family. It is never easy to lose someone close but at the same time I know she is now watching over all the family keeping everyone safe. I hope you all take some comfort in knowing that.

Extrememly sorry to hear about your mom. I know how much you loved her and expressed it with your actions for years. You were there for her at every opportunity whether it was Xmas and any other significant day. I am sure she appreciated your company and comfort you offered to her all those years. You have been an ideal daughter and son-in-law to her. May God bless you and give peace to mom's soul. Once again, my heart felt condolences to you and the family. Your mom will be greatly missed. Grandma Muriel Snider, was very special to me and my family and we loved her dearly.
Marielle and Matthieu enjoyed the priviledge of calling her their "Nana", and she embraced them always with her special smile that beamed right through to her smiling eyes, and lit up any room. She always had a space on her lap for them to sit and cuddle for a kiss and a hug.
She looked so happy with her family bustling about her home on each holiday, sitting in her chair by the stairs, or weather permitting; waving her regal wave to all who were leaving her home from her front porch. (blowing a kiss or two as well). She knew we loved her, and she will be missed terribly by us. We thank God for giving us such a beautiful Grandma!
Now the heavens flutter like the wings of a butterfly, joyfully welcoming, with merciful love, her special soul, her cocoon now complete, perfected and no longer needed!
We know you will be so loved always, now and forever,
Love your grandaughter, Karen Boissonneault, and her husband Paul Gauthier, and children Marielle and Matthieu Gauthier

A famous person once said "Thanks for the Memories" and there are so many, chrismas cookies,Her loving smile , time spent on the porch with aunt Muriel and uncle Earl(with his pet squirrel), and the great meals. Granny & Grampa Curry had to put aunt Muriel in the oven of the cookstove to keep warm as she was onlt 2 lbs when born, maybe thats why she loved to cook so much.
Many times when looking at the large houses built today I tell Kelly & Chris of all the love and good times that came from the little "HOME" at 309 Winona.
To the Snider family all my love and "Thanks for the Memories"
From the little Brat with the blue roller skates.

Dear Grandma,
There are no words to discribe the time that we shared together. There are so many memories that we have together that it is hard to sum them all up in to one short paragraph. All I can say is that you were like a mother to me, more than anything. You treated me like your own daughter, and that I am so greatful for. To tell you how much you will be missed does not compare to the feelings that we all have for you. And to tell you that we love you does not justify the way our hearts feel now that are no longer here.
So I will say all I need to say and that is .........Grandma you know!!
I love you Little Earlene xoxo

Dear Mom, even though you have left us, I still feel you near. I am so grateful you were able to stay with us as long as you did. As I told you last week, you only had 2 years and a bit and you would be 90 years old. It just boggled my mind, and you laughed. We have so much to thank you for. You were always there when we had troubles and we knew you would make them go away. Your arms and your heart were always open for us. I miss hearing your voice Mom, I love you very much. Until we meet again. Love Georgene XXOO

Hi everyone, I just got off the phone with Mom who informed me that your Mom had passed. I am so deeply saddened by this news and yet consider the time I have known her to have been a blessing. She was always smiling, always ready to feed you, to talk with you. I remember visiting your house, I remember sitting in the floral swing in the yard sharing stories with her, I remember your Mom and Dad coming to my wedding so many years ago. It was a priviledge knowing them .. it was an honour. The last time I saw your Mom was at Walmart and we chatted for a bit. I remember her placing her hands on mine as we talked. I always have looked forward every year to the Christmas card I received from her.. and I will say a prayer for her and your Dad this Christmas in remembrance of them. I am so sorry I was not there to say my goodbyes and pass on my condolescences to each of you (we just returned from PEI).

Over the past few days we have had the opportunity to witness the out pouring of love & fond memories by all for Muriel/Mom/Grandmother/Cook/Bingo buddy/Wife, etc, etc. Her very well attended visitation and Memorial service over the Canada Day weekend was a testimony of the affection and devotion of her family and friends! I want to thank everyone who attended both physically and in Spirit. It was a pleasure to have the honor of attempting to express in words alone, what was in the hearts and minds of Muriel's family. I could only cover a few of the highlights of her life. There are so many stories to tell, we all have ones that we need to share with each other, over the years to come. Her memory will be with us as long as we live! Until we meet again in our Fathers Mansion. God bless her family and friends in the days and years ahead.

Grandma,

You hold many special memories with me. One of my fondest is one Halloween when I was in my teens I helped you hand out candies. I was dresses as Little Red Riding Hood and you tease me saying you were the Grandma I came to visit. We had a great time. We always had fun together. You are with Grandpa now and that gives me peace.
We love you very much with all our hearts.
