Myron Burton "Burt" Horn

March 3, 1938 - June 27, 2022 On Sunday, June 27th Myron Burton Horn loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away at the age of 84. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Nathan Horn and Sally Heller-Horn. As an only child, Burt was a quiet and bashful man who liked it that way. Burt and his family moved right before high school to Long Beach, where he spent his formative years. In 1958 he married his sweetheart, Barbara Handler-Horn, and shortly after started a family. The new family moved to Huntington Beach then Newport and ultimately longtime residents of Monarch Beach. Burt enjoyed cars, antiques, history, Winnie the Pooh, and Toby mugs. He loved his family and instilled this in his generational legacy. Burts entrepreneurial spirit led him through a career in the painting and wallcovering business. From, entry-level sales positions to owning multiple stores and eventually becoming the youngest President of the Painting and Wallcovering Association of California, Burt was a hard-working man. Then moving into the auto business brokering car sales Burt loved the deal and took pride in the details no one else could sort out. Myron is survived by his wife of 63 years Barbara Horn, three sons, Allan, Jay, and David, and grandsons Jett and Chad. Celebration of life will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 12th, located at Harbor Lawn- Mt. Olive in Costa Mesa, CA Let his memory and legacy live through us all and let him be remembered for his hardworking and family-first attitude.
