Myron Richard Sanders, was born June 24, 1943 in Gary, Indiana to Leroy Thomas, Sr. and Willa Campbell. Myron departed his life on Monday, September 15, 2025 at University Hospital in Chicago Illinois. Myron was proceeded in death by his father and mother Leroy, (Moree)Thomas, Sr. and Willa (George)Campbell. Two brothers Jerry Campbell and Leroy Thomas Jr., his stepchildren Dexter Coffee, Kashanna Hicks

Myron attended Froebel school later left Gary, Indiana and went to Parker High School in Chicago Illinois. He married the love of his life Marzella Hicks at the age of 26 in 1969. He work at Pollo Chicken Factory, Reverence Cooper and also worked construction. He was a self taught black belt in Karate. He loved his music, singing and dancing. He was an instrumentalist and vocalist and performed in Las Vegas, California and the Chicagoland areas. His personality was a big goofball, always laughing and joking, very personable and likeable. He loved family.

Myron leaves his cherish wife, Marzella (Hicks )Sanders, his daughter, Bridget Sanders. A granddaughter: Aquanetta (Silas) Simpson, Jr. Three great grandsons: Anthony Walton, August and Ashton Simpson. Two sisters: Gylda (Bernard) Williams, Sr. and Brenda (Melton)Thomas, Jr. Three brothers: Philip Sanders, Bruce (Patricia) Thomas and Anthony Campbell. Two nephews: Brenton L.Thomas and Melton Thomas, lll. Two nieces: Shanita (Brandon ) Bondurant and Tiffany (Frederick) Ellis. Two stepdaughters: Joyce Coffee and Senturain Hicks. Five stepsons: Thomas Coffee, Antwi Coffee, Bryant Elder, Yasmeen Elder and DeShelon Hicks. A host of other family, cousins and friends. Wake Friday October 3,2025 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Funeral 11:00 a.m. at Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church 977 Chase St. Gary,In. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park Hobart,In. Services Entrusted To Powell-Coleman Funeral Home.
