Myron Warren Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 15, 2024.
Myron K. Warren, whose radio alias, "Karl Robert's", was affectionately known as "Chief Party Rocker," passed away on July 17, 2024, in Memphis, TN, at the age of 62. Born in Memphis, he spent his formative years at Lakeview Elementary and Junior High School, later graduating from Whitehaven High School and attending the University of Memphis.

Myron's career was marked by a 20-year plus tenure at FedEx, from which he retired due to illness. Beyond his professional life, music was his true passion. He aspired to be a famous DJ, idolizing local Memphis DJs and often performed at various events, including birthday parties and weddings. Despite often not being paid, his love for music and DJ'ing never waned, and he remained ever optimistic about his next gig.

In addition to his love for music, Myron occasionally attended services at Mt. Vernon Baptist and Koinonia Baptist churches. He found joy in his hobbies, particularly involving himself in music and DJ events at local radio stations.

Myron was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel M. and Robert L. Warren, and his brothers, Robert D., George, and Garner Warren. He is survived by his siblings, Edward, Jerome, Ethel, Stanley, Charles and Aubrey Warren, Helen Reed and Olivia Harvey (Willie Harvey). He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Details of the services to honor Myron's life are still to be determined. N.H. Owens and Son Funeral Home in Memphis, TN, is assisting the family during this time. Myron's life, marked by his gentle, trusting nature and his profound love for music, will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
