Myrtle R. Haynie

Dear Judy and Jay,
You probably barely even remember me, but I am Charlotte and Frank's older daughter Cindy, going by Cynthia these days, and I remember when you and your parents visited us in Cincinnati and played with us on the swing set. You two were teenagers, I guess, and we must have been pretty little kids. Now both of Susan and my parents are gone, and now yours are gone as well. How time moves on, and it is sad but inevitable. I remember both your parents with love. Your mom in particular was one of the most loving women I knew. Even though I didn't see her that often, when I did, or when I talked to her, I always knew she loved me, and that really meant a lot to me, with no real aunts and uncles, since Mom and Dad were both only children. Yes, she was a character, yes she loved to laugh, all those things are true, but what I will remember the most, I think, is the love. Sincerely, Cynthia

Myrtle was one of a kind and very special. She was not only warm, caring, and giving but had a wonderful sense of humor which was enjoyed by all. I have many fond memories of the times we spent together. My deepest sympathies go to you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Jay and Donna,
As you probably know, Myrtle was my God Mother and she never let me forget it. For the past few years she has pleaded with me to come visit her but something always got in the way. Now I feel terrible to have missed another opportunity to enjoy her presence and wonderful sense of humor. I spoke with her a day after her last birthday by 'phone. She sounded very upbeat and very much with it so it was a great shock to hear of her passing. Please accept my deepest regrets for this tremendous loss for your family and Myrtle's friends.

Our deepest sympathy to your family. Myrtle was a very special Lady to us all. We always felt John and Myrtle were a special part of our family.She will be missed by many. I hope you will be able to celebrate her life and take comfort that she has gone to a better place.
