Mysore N.L. Narasimhan

Mr. Narasimhan was my differential equations teacher sometime in the mid-70's, perhaps 1976. After a disaster for a teacher the previous term for calculus Mr. Narasimhan was like landing on a different planet. What a wonderful man and as good a teacher on his subject and care for his students as any I've ever had. The day before I read the obituary I had been listening to a co-worker express the difficulty his daughter was having with math and I mentioned that all she needed was Mr. Narasimhan and went on to share some of my memories of being in his class, this well over thirty years later. Wish now I had gone back to visit Mysore after I graduated and had a chance to know him more completely.

Dear Rohini and family,
I was sorry to read of the death of Mysore. What a wonderful life he had! I'm sending my sympathy to all of you. It is hard when a loved one leaves us.
I'm retired (but sometimes still sub at the library!) I have six grandchildren. Rohini must be loving all of hers! They will be a big help to her, I believe.
