Nada Ruth Shannon

Nada Ruth Shannon, 93, passed away Friday, November 24, 2017, at Dallas County Hospital in Perry, from complications of a fall at home. Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 30, at Woodward United Methodist Church, where the family will receive friends from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Woodward Cemetery in Woodward.
Nada was born July 27, 1924, in Woodward, Iowa, to Guy and Helen (Vernon) Paterson. She was married to Fred Shannon and they lived all their lives in Woodward where they raised their son, Roger F. Shannon. Nada worked as a clerk at Brenton State Bank in Woodward and helped out at Lake Robbins Ballroom for many years.
Nada is survived by her son, Roger (Carol) Shannon of Woodward, three grandsons, Michael S. (Darlene) Shannon and John (Laurie) Shannon, both of Ankeny, and Kenneth R. (Leah) Shannon of Manson, IA; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two infant brothers, her father, Guy C. Paterson, mother, Helen G. Paterson, and husband, Fred Shannon.
