Mawmaw was a brilliant women. To have met her and loved/ been loved by her, was truly a blessing. Mawmaw always enjoyed the simplest of things, never understanding the reason for “all the extras” she taught me many things and left me with many memories. Fuzzy blanket will always make me think of her as this was our yearly gift so she knew we were warm. Flowers, well because anyone who knew her knows she couldn’t get enough. Chickens, because anyone who knows me knows I’m terrified- unless Mawmaw was there and it was her chickens. Food, she always made sure to prepare the family favorites such as chicken and dumplings, MY green bean casserole, red beans and rice and jumbalya at the holidays, while I was in college , or any day really, because seeing us full and happy brought her so much joy. I can hear her saying “take what you want” and can see her smiling as the pot disappears.
That’s the thing with memories, they are forever. And I’m thankful I have so many with my grandmother.
Love you MawMaw

Nadean Loved Her Flower Gardens And Each Year. It Was Such a Awesome Sight To See In Full Bloom. You Would See Her Working In The Yard Bent Over Just Throwing Weeds Left And Right And In The Spring and Fall Planting Her Bulbs And Sowing Seeds With Her Cats Following Along Behind Her And Dogs By Her Side.
She Would Be Planting The Bulbs And Sometimes Just As Quick The Dog Would Dig Em Out And She Would Go Back And Do It Over Laughing..
She Had Every Flower You Could Think Of And Could Name Them By Sight And She Was So Proud To See Them Up In The Spring And In Bloom In The Summer She Would Be Right In The Middle Of A Bee Balm Patch With Bumble Bees By The Dozens Just Covering The Blooms Around Her But They Didnt Bother Her.
During The Winter She Would Look Thru Her Flower Garden Catalogs Making Lists Cause She Just Couldnt Wait To Be Out In Her Yard When Winter Was Over..
She Would Make A Pot Of Chicken And Dumplings With The Bread Krust On Top And Brown It In The Oven Along With Her Special Mexican Cornbread Dressing And It Would Make Any Regular Day Feel Like A Holiday And If U Left Hungry That Was Your Fault For She Sure Could Make A Meal Fit For A King.
She Was Kind. Hearted And Loved Feeding Her Hummingbirds And The Bunches Of Birds That Visited Her Yard.
She Called Her Place Her Hill And Made it So Beautiful Just Like Her Heart And Soul.
She Will Be Deeply Missed And Always Remembered By All Who Knew And Loved Her.
Our Deepest Sympathy To Her Family and Friends.
