Nadine Baumert, 96, of Payne, Ohio, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Vancrest of Payne. 

Nadine was born in Fort Wayne on November 13, 1928, a daughter of the late Darwin and Murial (Bowen) Myers.

She will be remembered for the special way that she loved her family and the care she gave her patients for 20 years as a nurse. Nadine was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Saint James Lutheran Church and Trinity Chapter #576 O.E.S. 

Nadine will be sadly missed by her daughters, Kathleen (the late Gene) Flaugh & Kristine (Gary) Gerardot and Karen (Jim) Derrow; sister-in-law, Mitzi Myers; grandchildren, Trent and Kiley Flaugh, Kimra Williamson, Ryan and Troy Gerardot, Jessica Riebesehl and Andrea Haskins; 16 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. 

She was also preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy "Whitey" Baumert, to whom she was married November 28, 1946 and siblings, Donna Jean Reynolds and Donald Myers.

Viewing is Friday, January 3rd, 4 - 7 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne.

Her funeral service is Saturday, January 4th, 10:30 am, with viewing 9:30 to 10:15 am at St. James Lutheran Church, 511 W. Townline Street, Payne.

Nadine will be laid to rest in Lehman Cemetery, Payne.

Memorials are to Vancrest Activity Fund.
