Clifton Green Obituary
Born in Summit Point, WV on October 1, 1924, he was the son of the late Charles E. Green, Sr. and Beulah Jackson Green.
He attended Sumner Ramer School in Martinsburg. He was a veteral of the US Navy and was employed by Blairton Limestones, Veteran Administration of Martinsburg for 24 years and WV State Road.
He was a bowler for Veterans Administration for at least eight years and then Pikeside Bowling team for many years.
He is survived by one sister, Dorothy L. Walker, one brother, Rudolph W. Green; his daughters, Shirley Bell of Philadelphia, PA, Alisha Johnson of Martinsburg, WV, Barbara Green of Philadelphia, PA, Vickie Ford of Shepherdstown, WV, Karen Green of Martinsburg, WV; his sons, Ronald Green of Hagerstown, MD, Donald Green of Martinsburg, WV, Shawn Jackson of Ohio, Clifton Green, II and wife Kyla of Charles Town; one foster son, Keith Curry of Martinsburg,WV; twenty three grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two special people he loved as son-in-laws, Michael Busey of Shepherdstown, WV and William Jefferson of Philadelphia, PA; and special friends Renah Milton and family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra (Sandy) L. Green, and his brothers Charles and James Green, his sister Edith Schley and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 12, 2011 prior to the service.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Rosedale Funeral Home with the Pastor John Green officiating.
Military services will be held at Rosedale Cemetery.

So I can't believe its already been almost a year since u have been gone. I miss u terribly Unc. I miss ur sense of humor ans ur witty comebacks. They will forever be embedded in my heart. I remember last yr one night when I was laying on the couch sleeping and u threw water on me to wake me up lol...u r def unforgettable. You and MeMaw are together forever now but I miss u both very dearly. I love u guys more than u know and I'm so thankful to have had u both in my life as long as GOD saw fit to have u here. You both will never be forgotten. I love u Unc. You and MeMaw very very much!!

I still find each day very hard. I keep telling myself that you and mom are in a better place looking down on us. There's so many days that has gone by since you have been gone. Going home is so difficult now but I'm doing the number 1 thing that you told me to do, which is fine my sandy. It put me in a frame of mind of what you were asking of me to do. I talk about you at mom often & visit you as well but it doesn't seem the same without you both. I am truly the man that you have raised & I hope that you both are proud of me. I LOVE & MISS U BOTH, YOUR SON... SHAWN..XXOO

Uncle Clifton and Me Maw (Sandy) were my God Parents! I love them both so much! I was their little girl and they treated me like their own! I miss the wonderful times we shared in the pool and horseback riding! I am blessed to have been able to cook for you and make sure you took your med's, the last year. Most important I miss you teasing me! Rest in Peace Uncle Clifton!

You are in my thoughts and prayers! Myself, Sandy and you shared many wonderful times, We would laugh so hard! I loved horse back riding with you and Sandy. I have known Clifton for years, I bowled with him and his son. You will be missed Clifton, you was a great man! Now God gets to have you for an angel, and he picked a good one. You was the most kindest man possible.

My condolences go out to little Clifton and the GREEN family in these hard times.MR.Clifton green was a very nice and funny man.I(montie) can remember alot of long nights of laughts with little clifton,murry's(KEITH Curry)and big clifton.May you rest in peace Mr.GREEN.
