Nancy Adams Obituary
Mrs. Adams was a native of Fayette County, Ala., but lived most of her life in Tuscumbia. She was a graduate of Palmetto High School and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a hostess at the Holiday Inn, was a longtime volunteer with the Foster Grandparents program and a member of Muscle Shoals Bowling League. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard F. Adams; son, Rex Adams; grandson, Keith Brewer; son-in-law, Barry Gilbert; and sister, Helen Kizziah.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Adams and wife, Gobi, of Muscle Shoals; daughters, Sandy Brewer and husband, Bobby, of Central Heights, Carolyn Gilbert, of Florence, Robbie Carroll and husband, Ralph, of Destin, Fla.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Daniel Hawk, Jared Adams, Mike Adams, Wesley Tomlinson, Mark Tomlinson and Ralph Carroll.
The family would like to express special thanks to the Memories Wing at Florence Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, is directing.

We rejoice with you that your mom and our beloved friend has cast off the burden of a well-worn body of flesh and is now adorned with a new body and a new birth in Heaven where there was rejoicing on her arrival!
This was her goal and she has gained so much more than we can ever imagine until we experience the same.
Praise God that this is not the end -- it's the beginning!

I was so sad to learn of Mrs. Adams's death. What a wonderful lady she was to me.
