Nancy Anderson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 17, 2015.
Nancy Carol Anderson (Wilcox) of Three Forks, Montana, passed away on March 11, 2015, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was born in Three Forks, Montana, on Nov. 16, 1938, to Clifford Herbert Wilcox and Harriett Kathryn Wilcox (Van Horsen) where she was raised up in the rugged Montana countryside. Nancy spent most of her life in Three Forks, raising her babies in a place of deep roots and strong love. A loving mother and dedicated lunch lady for the Three Forks School System, she nurtured the children of the community. Her favorite pastimes included sewing handmade quilts for those she loved, and changing the rules of Gin Rummy so the odds were ever in her favor. Her daily cross words and weekly Bridge get-togethers were a highlight. She loved to be in her garden, growing wild flowers and veggies for her grandchildren. Once retired, she graduated to virtual farming and enjoyed toiling in the hot Facebook sun.

Nancy only knew how to love for a lifetime; she married James Lee Anderson on July 14, 1957. They were married for 44 years before Jim's passing in 2001. She is preceded in Death by her beloved husband, son-in-law Tim R. Kenney, and her sister Elaine Hain (Wilcox). She is survived by her brother Clifford Richard Wilcox (Betty), brother-in-law Lee Hain, son Ronnie L. Anderson (Jackie), son Daniel W. Anderson, daughter Jamie C. Kenney (Anderson). Grandchildren; Carrie Porter (Anderson), Patrick Anderson (Breanna), Mary Frisby, Nick Frisby, Kathryn Anderson, James Anderson, Athena Willis (Kenney) (Charles), Timothy Kenney, and Amanda Kenney. Great-grandchildren; Jasmine Porter, Isaiah Porter, Landon Goosey, Charles Willis III, Hailey Willis, Madalynn Willis, Riley Kenney, John Haulbrook, Kaya Palmer, and two sweet babies on the way.

Graveside services will take place July 1, 2015, at Fairview Cemetery in Three Forks, Montana. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Three Rivers Senior Center in Three Forks, Montana.

May the God of all comfort strengthen you in this time of sorrow. Those who pass away in death, God keeps in his memory because they are precious in his eyes. (Psalms 116:15) The family has my sincerest condolences.
