NANCY BAUER Obituary
Age 70, of Cranberry Township, PA, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013 while under the care of UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Twp. Born March 26, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Lila Jane (Speher) Weidman. Nancy was an active and long-time member of the Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church in Cranberry Township. She enjoyed her work at Erie Insurance as a Sr. Claims Adjuster for 35 years. Nancy was a four-time Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, and former Mother Advisor of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, in addition to being a member of the Daughters of the Nile. She loved shopping, traveling to Disney World, and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 50 years, Norbert "Norm" Bauer; her daughter, Amy Jane Primm and her husband, Dan, of Mars; her brother, William E. Weidman, of Pittsburgh and her granddaughter Hannah Jane Primm. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SVCS., INC., 130 Wisconsin Avenue, Cranberry Township, PA 16066. An Eastern Star service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening. A funeral service will be held in Nancy's honor at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church, 2662 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township, PA 16066, with Rev. Dr. James Moran, officiating (Friends please meet at church). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nancy's honor to the Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I worked with Nancy and her mom at Travelers Insurance a long time ago. We both handled Worker's Compensation. She was a very nice person.

I am very sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. I did a lot of work for Nancy when I worked for Concentra and she was alway a pleasure to talk to and meet with. She had a wonderfully sarcastic sense of humor. May her family receive some solace that she is at peace. God Bless You Nancy!

Sincere sympathy to you all on the passing of Nancy. Her smile was so genuine and I really enjoyed knowing her I looked forward to hearing from her each Christmas. I know she loved her family and was so proud of her daughter and granddaughter. May happy memories of good times sustain you during this sad time.

Leo, Amy, Dan, and Hannah,
My sincere sympathy to all of you on the untimely death of Nancy. I will always remember her as a fun loving, always smiling person. She was one of the VIP's of 1980-81 when served her first year of Matron of OES. We had lots of fun with her. Some great memories. A good friend. Love Joanne (Herbe) Majors.
