Mrs. Broach was born in San Antonio, TX and had lived in Savannah most of her life. She was formerly employed with Carey Hilliards as a manager for twenty years. She was the owner of Broach Construction Company and enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Broach, Sr. Cowboy of Guyton; children, Joyce Hicks (Danny) of Florence, SC, Wanda Blackmon (Larry) of Coward, SC, Cecil Broach (Marie) of Effingham, SC, Paul Broach, Jr. (Christy) of Timmonsville, SC, Tony Ray Broach of Brunswick, GA and Billy Broach (Susan) of Florence, SC; twenty-three grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; brother, Eddie Denkenberger of Savannah; half-brother, Eddie Denkenberger of Dover, DE; aunts and uncles, Randy & Pam Myers of Bloomingdale, Gary & Joy Myers of Guyton and Rubine Scott of Riverside, CA and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel.
Additional Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home, 2402 South Irby Street, Florence, SC.
Funeral: 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2009 in the chapel of Stoundenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with burial to follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.
