Nancy Carole Hurdle Burchett, 77, departed this life on October 21, 2024 surrounded by family at Methodist North Hospital.

Nancy was born on July 19, 1947 in Holly Springs, MS to Ruth and Cornell Hurdle. Nancy often recounted the mischievous times she shared with her brothers growing up.

Nancy worked at the Police Department in Collierville for many years before obtaining her PTA degree. After obtaining her degree, Nancy worked for over 25 years serving her community and advocating for her patients. Nancy spent the majority of her PTA career at Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation hospital. Most recently, Nancy worked at the Village at Germantown bringing smiles and assistance to all residents and coworkers. Nancy was cherished by coworkers and admired for her tireless energy.

Nancy was an active member at Crossroads Baptist Church participating in mission trips and various bible studies. She enjoyed gardening, watching soccer, playing cards and games, and traveling.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Burchett Mantel (Tom) and Tiffanie Burchett; grandchildren, Keely Danis (Trevor) and Christian Mantel; brother Stanley Hurdle (Laurel); sister-in-law Delia Hurdle and many dear family and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Cornell Hurdle and her brother Norman Hurdle.

Nancy will be remembered for her vivacious personality and caring nature that touched the lives of everyone around her. To know Nancy was to love her immensely.

A celebration of life with be held Saturday, November 2 at Crossroads Baptist Church on 125 S Houston Levee Road, Eads, TN 38028. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and a service to follow at 11:00 am. There will be a gathering held after the service at Nancy's residence in Collierville for anyone who would like to attend. The family request that those attending, please wear bright colors. If attending the gathering at Nancy's residence, please bring a lawn chair.

If you wish to send flowers, please deliver to Crossroads Baptist Church on Friday, Nov. 1 between the hours of 08:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Nancy Carol. We were always friends all the school years . We spent the night at each other´s house constantly. She spent many summer days with me and we would goes to Holly Springs baseball games . We´d found some guys we especially liked so we really wanted to go to those games. We had to walk home from school through the pasture. She lived too close to school to ride the bus.
Nancy Carol was a really great person. She was always helping others. She loved her friends and family. She was a good Christian friend whom I´ll never forget. Fly high, Nancy.
