It´s been a year without you but somehow we´ve managed to make it. Hanna and I miss you so much. We´re always talking about all the crazy habits you had when something reminds us of you. I still find myself wanting to call you whenever Hanna and I have good news or we´re out doing something we know you´d find interesting. I´m so thankful for all the voicemails you left me so I´m able to still hear your voice when I´m missing you. I love you grandma

Mrs. Nancy was very loving and caring. That was one of the first things I noticed about her as she walked the halls of Walls Elementary with her Students. She was very passionate about what she did. I remember running into her a couple of times at our local Dollar General stores and she would ask me to show her how I would penny shop and I never hesitated to walk through the store with her looking and scanning different items. Mrs. Nancy will truly be missed. My prayers are with her family

There are so many words that describe Nancy. Kind, generous, loving, gorgeous, enthusiastic. She loved her family and her friends. Her grandchildren were her great loves. Her support for all was unwavering.
I looked forward every morning to her outfit of the day. We would discuss her jewelry, clothes, hair, and makeup. I always told her she was one of our school social workers. She took care of whole families. She could out bargain every vendor on Third Street and would having them eating out of her hand and donating to the school clothes closet.
The children adored her. They would bring their papers to her and she would just brag. "Would you look at that! Did you do this all by yourself?"
The paper was mostly wrong, but she would proceed to help them correct and they never felt like they did wrong.
I'm sure after God welcomed her into heaven, she looked around and asked what needed to be done. She's some lucky person's guardian angel now. She was loved. She was a giver. She will be missed by all.

Mrs. Nancy was truly a blessing to every child and family at Walls Elementary School. She would always ask me if I knew of any child in need of clothes. Her smile could and did light up any room. My first day at Walls Elementary was memorable because of her smile. Sending my sincere condolences to your family and friends.

My prayers for Mrs. Nancy's family, for peace and healing of broken hearts. I loved Mrs. Nancy!
She was a very special person, especially to my Mama, Martha Sue Givens Hindman. They were best friends for life and I know they are celebrating Mama's birthday today in Heaven.

Mrs Nancy was a kind, loving soul. I first met her at WES in 2018. She was so good to my 3 children always making sure they had warm jackets and gloves and hats. She treated me like a person. Never judged me. I will always love her for that. I´ll miss her very much.

I first met Nancy at Walls Elem where she was asked to show me the ropes. After that we became friends. Our friendship lasted long after that. She became interested in a program at my church called "Feed My Lambs" which is a feeding program for children at Walls and Lake Cormorant Elementary Schools. She started vvolunteering to help pack those meals and fell in love with the program.
All who met Nancy loved her and she was my dear ❤ friend. I will miss her so much.

I´m so sorry to hear about Nancy. She was such a wonderful person to the students, school, and Walls community. Whatever anyone needed, she was there to help. I first met her when she volunteered to pass out fruit at Walls and then I hired her as an assistant. She started the clothes closet at Walls to be sure that children who needed clothes or coats would have access to them. She helped in so many ways! She will be missed by so many.
The family, friends, and all who knew and loved Nancy have lost a wonderful person. You are all in my prayers.

I´ve known Ms. Nancy from all my years at Walls Elementary and witnessed the love and joy she spread there; to students, parents and staff. You couldn´t help but to smile around her as she would lift you up no matter what. Her giving nature and fun loving spirit touched so many! I´ll always hold dear that she told me she loved me so often. We should all share that more with those around us. Your legacy will live on and continue to inspire us all, Ms. Nancy. Love you!

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. Nancy was a special giving person, who I loved dearly. Without hesitation she saw to it that we were fed after I came home from the hospital, bringing us home cooked meals. I wish we had many more years to know & love you. We will love you always, "Fancy Nancy".

Ms. Nancy was a beautiful, caring, loving, and thoughtful soul. She did so much for others selflessly. It was always a joy to be in her presence. For me it was always the hot red lipstick that let me know the fierceness and beauty lived within her. She had style and class. Ms Nancy it´s bye for now, you are gone but definitely not forgotten. I pray that God continues to allow your light to shine

Sweet Nancy we were friends for 50 years. You were that friend that I would not talk to for a year but our friendship never altered. I knew you loved me and I loved you dearly. That smile and those sparkling eyes let everyone know what a kind and loving person you were. I will miss our late night phone calls and talking for hours. Rest in peace my dear friend until I see you again.

Nancy, Grandma, came into my life a little over 5 years ago when Ashlyn and I started dating. I never expected for her to make the impact that she did on my life. We took trips together, ate countless dinners together, lived together for a while, and of course Ashlyn and I talked to her on the phone at least a few times a week once we moved out. She was wild, but I wouldn´t have wanted her any other way. I´ll never be upset about using a glass with a red lipstick stain on it again.
Grandma, I think there is a hole left in our hearts that we may not ever be able to fill now that you are gone. You left us too soon, but we´ll make sure that who you are lives on through us. We love and miss you so much.

I first met Nancy in August of 2009 when I started at Walls Elementary. She welcomed me with open arms and took me under her wings. The last day I saw Nancy was Friday, June 21st. She was excited and ready for her Alabama trip. Just like Nancy, about 7 am she asked me to paint her fingernails and toenails. I said of course but then again, just like Nancy she couldn't find the polish. She finally did and she headed on her trip. The world was a much better place with her in it. She thought Neil and Chris hung the moon and adored her grandkids and great grandkids. She was a gentle, kind, loving, funny and crazy friend. Nancy I will always love and miss you. Rest assured that your sweet babies, Precious and Harley are right here beside me.

Nancy And I met over 20 years ago through Mary Kay. We spent copious amounts of hours with each other watching my kids and her grandkids grow up.
We travel to Dallas and went to the Mary Kay convention and we had such an awesome time laughing and sharing stories and just being with each other.
I'll never forget her Mary Kay room.
We never went anywhere and did anything that Nancy didn't have her iconic RED LIPSTICK on.
She never met a stranger She was the person that I strived to be.
Nancy I will miss you!! You were such a wonderful person!!!

A few years ago, one of the local churches provided meals for students during the summer. Several of us would volunteer to serve. Nancy would either pick up meals for children she knew needed them and couldn't get to the location or bring them to us. She loved our community so much.
