McHENRY - Nancy Colomer, 94, of McHenry, died Thursday, July 17, 2008, at her home.
She was born March 25, 1914, in Chicago, to John and Nicasia (Barone) Genovese. She married Paul E. Colomer on Sept. 25, 1937, at Our Lady of Sorrows Basilica in Chicago.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg and retired from Oaks Manufacturing Co. in Crystal Lake.
She is survived by her sons, Frank (Karen), and John (Patricia) of McHenry; her grandchildren, Frank, (Sheryl) Colomer Jr., Joseph (Jodi) Colomer, Kimberly (Joseph) Doherty, and Kristen (Mark) Hartmann; her great-grandchildren, Paul and Danielle Colomer, Casey and Delaney Doherty, and Haley and Chloe Hartmann; a brother, Joe Genovese; and many nieces and nephews; and her companion and caregiver, Wanda.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, on Feb. 19, 1989; her parents; and other brothers and a sister.
The visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 20, at Colonial Funeral Home. A private funeral Mass and Interment for the family will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 410 S. Hager Road, Barrington, IL 60010; or Masses preferred.
