Nancy Menz Farrell

Nancy was one of those people in my life who will always be a part of me. We were close friends in high school and lost touch after I moved to the Northeast. She was sweet, sensitive, fun spirited and loving. I still remember her laughter and how she would show me how goofy her elbows looked when she would hold them out straight when we practiced our cheers together. I have been searching for her on the internet for a while and once again typed in her name only this time to find out I will never again be able to speak with her again. How sad I am to hear of her passing just now and I wish I hadn't waited to contact her. Nancy made the people around her feel loved and valued. There was a sweet insecurity and humility about her and she was open and honest about who she was. I am so grateful to have had the blessing of experiencing her beautiful presence in my life if only for a few years.

I am broken-hearted to learn of Nancy's passing. We attended college together and thoroughly enjoyed way too many adventures as sisters in Chi Omega and SAE Little Sisters. She had such a happy, bubbly soul -- always smiling and ready to share a laugh. Even when things did not roll her way, she remained positive and found comfort in her faith, family and many friendships! My condolences to her husband, children and extended family.

Nancy and I attended MSM and were of the class of 1974. Nancy was funny, pretty and just a wonderful person. I will miss her even though our lives took different paths, some people will forever stay in your heart. My deepest regrets

Childhood best friend, Nancy lived across the street from my family and she was a big part of my life for many years. Her heat was loving and accepting of everyone. Her laugh, smile and twinkle in her eye I will never forget. What a treasure, what a loss! Praying for her family!

Nancy was an upperclassman when I arrived at college. I remember vividly her kind manner and how she lit up a room. Loved seeing the pics of her here. She will be missed.

Condolences to Nancy's family and friends. We were lucky to have Nancy and Allison teach our son Sully this past year during such a formative time period of our child's life. Not only did Nancy and Allison help our child grow and develop but they bore the gift of supporting and guiding us parents. Nancy was always sweet, helpful and had good stories of her children or family events. We enjoyed her friendship and guidance. She will be missed by many children and parents. Our family is thankful to have had a sliver of her time this past year that will leave a lasting footprint on our lives. God bless her family and others lives she has touched with love and peace.

Nancy was a wonderful person and friend we shared many happy times through cheerleading and friends at St Mary's our four years together although we lost touch after high school I will always remember Nancy and the joy and humor she brought to everyone around her may she Rest In Peace and may her family feel that same peace she would want them to feel prays to her family

Nancy was a true joyful friend who I enjoyed throughout St Mary's I am so saddened by her death I had not seen her since high school but remember her fondly my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in her family may she rest in peace

Nancy was a teacher to our daughter Paige last year. She was such a great support system to our daughter who was transitioning from part time to full time daycare. Nancy took the time to help our daughter through many times of stress for Paige sacrificing her own personal time to do so. Nancy was such a great person to get to know and talk with. She loved her children and her family so much and always beamed when she spoke about them. Her passing is a tremendous loss and I will always remember the impact that she had on our family.

God Bless Nancy - she will be dearly missed.

Nancy had a special place in our hearts over the past year as we got to know her as our son Noah's teacher. Each morning that she helped him out of the car at carpool or if we saw her in the afternoon at pick up or other school events, she'd inevitably have stories to share about funny conversations that the two of them shared. He loved to help "Mrs. Farrell" and was often glued to her side. We're so thankful for the love and nuturing she gave him in his first year of his new school--we should have told her this more. Her joy and love for her family was evident. Nancy loved to share about her family--she was a proud mother for sure. She was a blessing to our family, and we're grateful beyond words to have known her and to have such special memories of her. We are praying that the Lord will cover her family with strength, comfort and peace for the days ahead.

I also went to grade school and high school with Nancy and kept up with her for many years. I was just recently thinking of her (and smiling at the thought) because I have always remembered that July 15th was her birthday. I am so sad to hear of her passing. She was always such a good friend. My heart goes out to her family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Nancy was one of my closest friends in elementary and high school. I have so many memories of spending time at the Menz's house. We had a great time completing school projects, getting ready for dances or just hanging out. Nancy was a wonderful person and a true friend. She loved to have fun and was always ready for a new adventure. She never hesitated to move to a new city and with her smile and personality quickly made new friends. She was one of the kindest sweetest people I know. She always wanted to be a mother and this dream was fulfilled when she met an married Dennis. I know she was so proud of her beautiful children Maddie, Abbie, and Will and loved you so much. My thoughts and prayers are with the Menz and Farrell families. Nancy enriched my life and I will never forget her.

I was so sad to receive the news of "Miss Menz" passing! She was my teacher at Holy Souls and became a lifelong friend of my family. I remember her babysitting us when my parents would go on vacation! She was always so fun and we loved our time with her! Her laugh and smile were contagious! I looked forward to seeing her family Christmas card she'd send my mom through the years of her beautiful family! I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers as we all mourn a beautiful soul!

I went to grade school and high school with Nancy....
I have only the very best memories of my sweet friend..... most of all I remember all the laughter..... her laughter was contagious. The last time I saw her was at our 10 year class reunion. She was as beautiful inside and out as ever. I so hoped she would be at our 40th..... Prayers for Patsy, family and all of Nancy's children. May you find comfort in your memories of your beautiful daughter and mother .

We were so shocked and saddened to learn of Nancy's passing. We met the Farrells at St. Joe's in Mendham, NJ, and our daughters Annie and Abbie enjoyed a wonderful friendship which included dance classes and a second grade talent show. Please accept our deepest condolences on the loss of your wife and mother. I will never forget Nancy's southern drawl and sweet personality.

She was always upbeat and nice to me. Gone too soon. Sorry to read this. Condolences to the family.

We are so sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. We shared our wonderful college years at Southwestern/Rhodes, and Nancy and I were SAE little sisters together. Our thoughts and prayers are with her extended family.

Nancy taught my son Thomas two years ago at O'Quinn. She was a caring and considerate teacher and they developed a special relationship. He loved seeing her when we picked up his brother over the past year. I remember how fondly she spoke of her beloved family -- her pride in her children was evident. We will pray for comfort for Dennis and the children, and all who loved Nancy. She will always hold a place in our hearts.

So sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. We went to High School and College together and have many fond memories of her. My condolences to her family.

I have in common with Nancy four years of high school at Mount St. Mary's in Little Rock and another four years of college at Rhodes in Memphis, where we were both SAE little sisters. My condolences to Nancy's family; I'm stunned by her passing.

Met Nancy 25 years ago, and she was a vibrant, loving mother and wife. We shared some wonderful Central holiday celebrations. Thoughts are with her children, and Dennis.

Nancy and I went to school together for 12 years. She was one of the nicest, friendliest person I have ever known. Prayers for her family.

Nancy was my friend from the time we started school until we graduated. She lived near me and we rode the city bus home together from grade school until we didn't anymore. We played at each other's houses and were cheerleaders together in 8th grade--Go Wabbits! We lost touch, as so many friends do, as we graduated, moved away, and started new lives, but she was always only a wonder away. I am sad to know she is gone. I always thought we'd see each other again down the road--and still we may. My heart goes out to her mom and siblings and to her husband and children. She was a wonderful person whom I remember warmly whenever she pops into my head.

Mrs. Farrell was a beloved preschool teacher to my son, Jack, this past school year. I enjoyed talking with her at pickup every day and learning about her interesting life and beloved family. She will be missed.

We are so sorry to hear this very sad news. Although we haven't seen your family since you moved to S.C., we always remember how sweet, kind and thoughtful Nancy and all of the Farrell family was. Please know we are keeping all of you in our prayers. Sending love from the Corcorans, Chester, NJ

I had the privilege to date Nancy for many years in college . She may have had the best attitude of anyone I have ever met. Always smiling, laughing and there to brighten everyones day. I don't think it surprised anyone the day she was named SAE sweetheart.

I was so sorry to hear about Nancy. I got to know her really well during college when we spent way too much time sunbathing in the summers. While flying for Delta, she moved to New Orleans and shared a house with me and some Sewanee girls. We all remember how sweet, funny and fun to be around she was. I wish I had kept up with her better - she will be missed! My condolences to her family.

Miss Menz was my 2nd and 3rd grade teacher at Holy Souls in Little Rock, AR. There's not a lot one remembers at that age, but I remember Miss Menz vividly. Everyone wanted her to have her as their teacher. After 2nd grade, she was moved to teach 3rd grade. When I found out she was my teacher again, I looked at her and said, "What are you going to do, follow me to 4th grade?". She was a wonderful person and teacher and always lit up the classroom and made it a happy place for us.
