FIOREY, Nancy K. Nancy K. Fiorey of Clemmons, NC, (formerly of East Hartford), passed away at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC on Tuesday, (October 14, 2008). She was predeceased by her mother, Myra Julia King. She is survived by her children, Peter K. Fiorey and wife Ramona of Fayetteville, NC, Robert L. Fiorey and wife Leslie of East Hartford, and Myra McGonigle and husband David of Advance, NC; her grandchildren, Kyle Mastropasqua and wife Jonna of Hubert, NC, Erin Fiorey of Fayetteville, NC and Nicole Fiorey of East Hartford. A Memorial Service was held at Clemmons Moravian Church on Saturday, October 18, and a Memorial Mass is planned for Sunday, October 26, 10:30 a.m., at St. Christopher's Church, Brewer Street, East Hartford. Memorial donations may be made to the building fund of Clemmons Moravian Church, P.O. Box 730, Clemmons, NC 27012.

I am sorry for your loss.

I believe this is the same Nancy Forey who was in charge of the Hartford Public High School cafeteria for many years. I was a teacher there from 1974 to 1994 and got to know Nancy. She presented a very gruff exterior to those who did not know her. Once she trusted you, she displayed a deep softness and kindness. Nancy did many favors for me and secretly she did many favors for students. Nancy was a good woman.

Peter, Robin, & Myra:

So sorry to hear about your mom. Luckily Charlie reads the obits daily. Your mom was a person I've never really forgotten. She's always been someone I'd admired and has left a lasting impression/memory on me. I still remember all those times when you guys were young. Hope all is well with all of you. Sounds like you've extended your family quite a bit. My biggest regret was losing touch with her through the years.
