Nancy will always be remembered by the Theology and Ministry Division at Simpson University as a gracious hostess. Whenever the division interviewed candidates for a faculty position, she would provide an elegant meal in the Schaefers' congenial dining room: a tasty salad, a scrumptious main course, and oh, the desserts! Small wonder, then, that when offers were extended, few turned the division down. Nancy's meals were the beginning of years of memorable, collegial relationships.

My sympathies as you grieve Nancy's departure from this earth. I also rejoice with you in her home going. The promise of the resurrection becomes so much more precious at these times

I met Nancy years ago as a Senior in High School at Redwood Christian in Castro Valley. She was always so kind and thoughtful towards all the students and gave me great advice if I wanted to go to college. I was able to attend Simpson College in San Francisco because of her advice where I met her husband Dr Glenn Schaefer. God used her and Glenn greatly in the lives of thousands of students. She is loved by all who met her and Doc.

I stayed a weekend as a friend with Judy when we were both at Simpson in San Francisco. She was a delightful hostess and the fact I remember that solitary weekend so vividly after 42 years is testament to her. And I got my very first homemade donuts! My condolences to Professor Schafer, my old friend Judy and all of the family.

Nancy was the sweetest women and had the gift of help. I got to know her when I was at Simpson. Where she used her gift of help and creativity with creating the center piece for the Foundation Dept. Events. Nancy always had a smile on her face a hug and an uplifting conversation.
Rest in your Fathers arm´s Nancy.
