Nancy was my very first girlfriend in the 6th grade. This arrangement began at a Punahou football game; I remember feeling I was one of the luckiest guys ever. In later years, I never knew her that well but was always inspired by her beauty, gracefulness and charm.

I will be entering a 10-day retreat with Sogyal Rinpoche in two weeks and will request that Nancy be prayed for by Tibetan lamas, geshes and masters throughout the world.

Nancy was one of my best friends for more than 30 years. She was witty and wonderful. She was loyal to friends and quick to assist anyone in need. Nancy was a giver; a special one who will be missed by all who knew her.

My heartfelt condolences for Larry and Claire, Baba and Boz, and all the nieces, nephews and respective families. The Lord must have a special place for Nancy, and must have needed her alot...
